在 Google 搜尋一個交易所或協議的名字，排在最上面那一則常常不是官網，而是有人付錢買下的廣告。攻擊者只要標下關鍵字，就能把仿冒站推到官方連結前面，廣告在搜尋結果頁顯示的網址還能包裝成正常網域，肉眼看不出破綻。使用者連上假站、以為在操作自己的帳戶，簽下去的其實是把資產授權給對方的交易。

8 月 13 日，資產救援公司 FlashRescue 共同創辦人 Darcy 貼出鏈上紀錄，一名 Hyperliquid 使用者點進 Google 付費廣告裡的仿冒站，約 55 萬美元 USDC 分三筆流進攻擊者地址。Google 說已停權該廣告主帳號，去年移除超過 6 億則詐騙廣告。資安聯盟 SEAL 今年 4 月封鎖了 356 個惡意廣告網址，其中數個就是仿冒 Hyperliquid。

Tether 發行的 USDT 是全球最大的穩定幣，流通量約 1,800 億美元，也是台港交易所最常見的入金工具。它過去十年只提供「儲備證明」，也就是請會計師抽查某一天的資產夠不夠付得出所有代幣，不是查整份財報。2017 年找 Friedman LLP 查帳破局，2021 年又因誇大美元擔保被美國期貨監理機關罰款。

8 月 13 日 Tether 宣布 KPMG 美國完成 2025 年度財報的完整審計，給出無保留意見，也就是查完之後沒有附上任何保留條件，是審計師能給的最高結論。截至 2025 年底，儲備資產比負債多出 68.14 億美元。KPMG 沒有只採信託管機構的報告，還逐根清點檢查 Tether 持有的每一條金條。受審的是負責發行 USDT 的 Tether International，不是集團母公司，批評者的質疑也集中在這裡。
